How do I calculate the square footage of one wall?

Multiply wall width by wall height. A 12 ft wide × 8 ft high wall is 96 sq ft.

Should I subtract doors and windows?

For paint or wall covering estimates, subtracting large openings improves accuracy. For drywall ordering, sheet layout may still create offcuts around openings.

How many square feet are in a 4 × 8 drywall sheet?

A 4 × 8 ft sheet covers 32 sq ft before allowing for cuts and waste.

Can I calculate four walls at once?

Yes if they are the same width. Otherwise calculate each width separately and add the wall areas together.
